UK Driving Licence

Me and DH have still only got the old style paper licences as we have never had cause to change them. Do the hire companies still except these?
Just had a bit of a panic on ,that they would only accept the new style.
Can anyone put my mind at rest?

we have been going for years and mum and dad still only have paper style and they have never had any problems with it and they used them last october so unless they have changed it since then i they dont on our expiernces

Hi, was there in 2006, like yourself only had the old paper one which i had no bother with, along with your passport for the picture which you will have anyway.

Agree - I still have the old paper type, never had a problem *irrespective of how many points I have*

Yep, paper ones are fine. You should see the state of mine too, it's definitely seen better days.

Keep the paper ones - I was stopped by Police two years ago and the paper licence confused him so much he just let me go.

one thing i didnt realise, was that you have to renew the photo one every 10 years,only realised while on holiday when we were looking at each outhers photo,to see how much hair we have lost
