I swear I saw this program on the travel channel that showed this roller coaster out in the middle of a sheep field somewhere in the UK. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or am I losing it?

Hey Michael,

You're onto my pet subject now!

I think you may have seen 'The Ultimate' at Lightwater Valley, near Rippon in Yorkshire. This is a very long steel/woodie hybrid which circles a couple of fields.

I believe this is still Europe's longest woodie although some purists say due to it's construction, it can't be classed as such.

The ride lasts very long and has 2 lifthills. Although not as thrilling as similar rides, it's well worth the visit to try it.

Good detail & photos can be found here.....

Hope this helps

it may be the longest but it definately bumps you about .

last time i took my Brownie pack I had to ride 3 times in a row. I had a terrible headache when i finally got off.

Not the smoothest coaster in the UK
