I had no idea that Nationwide didn't charge a foreign exchange fee!

Oh yeah I think they're the only one - it's pretty worthwhile applying for a credit card with them for that alone - also they don't charge if you take money out abroad - LOL those TV ads really crack me up, THAT man is soo funny! :)

The Post Office Mastercard also has no foreign exchange fee. We applied for one Sunday, and it was with us by the following Saturday! I haven't used it yet, it's really just a back-up in case we have problems with our N'wiade, or if Visa isn't accepted but M'card is.

Coolio that's good to know any others anyone know about?

I think that's it, or at least for the 'no annual fee' ones anyway.

You still get the standard bank rate for the exchange but they don't take out the 2.75% so with the current $/£ ratio things in the US are a steal. I'm trying to pay as much off as poss while it's so high, like pre-pay for the photopass already saves around $20 but then with the current exchange rate it makes it less than £50:thumbsup2

We did a wire transfer through the bank. We also had Heidi and she told me that if we paid by wire transfer Disney would pick up the fee. We just did it through our normal bank account (barclays) and told them that Disney were picking up the fee, we only paid the deposit no fees at all.

We also did a wire transfer for our DVC and think the fee was about 17 pounds, so not that much.

If you have a large sum of money to change next year it's worth having the suntrust account. We opened ours a few years ago and it's come in handy, last year we did 5 money transfers with a company here in the UK, you had to transfer at least 3000 pounds and you get the buisness rate. (they are a company for big transactions etc. forget what their called now) but that got us quite a few extra $$.

Oh, I know! :lmao: I have a Nationwide card, so I'm delighted to hear about the 2.75%! :)

We have a nationwide credit card and paid everything off that way! The Disney stuff, Randy, Stan, etc! Saved us a bundle!

We've just used it to buy our universal annual passes too as its buy one year get one year free. We got a rate of $2.03 to the pound! So definately worth while getting!!!
