When did you start the process?

We're going to go direct through the Brevard County website as it's cheapest, but I know the licence is only valid for 60 days, so how many days out from your wedding did you begin the application process?

Hi hun,

Can't help with this but I wanted to ask you how much it is going to cost to have the document notarised? One solicitor told me around £80-£90 which would bump the price right up, but I wondered what you had found out.

I haven't got this far yet, I found out there only seems to be one in the town, but haven't spoken to them yet. Didn't realise it was so much though!

Hi,

We started our application in September for our December wedding because you need to factor in the time it will take for your documents to go back and forth for notarising etc. We even paid for express overseas courier delivery 2 day service.

It cost us £98 for a solicitor to notarise our application, they are in effect acting as your "witness", we used a company that liase with the court house on your behalf, wouldn't say it was worth the extra cost though!

Our license arrived with our Disney planner last week.

Hope this helps :)

we just went to kissimee court house , it took about 5 mins to fill the form in and then we left with our license, we then took it back the day after the wedding where it was stamped and we got copies instead of waiting for them to send it to us

Sarah,

So if you do it this way I presume you don't have to carry out all this notary business like with the mail away licence?

You just turn up at the court house without an appointment and that's it pretty much?

Hmmm, we weren't going to do it this way before, but if it saves us £80-100 in not having to get it notarised it might be worth it.

I presume this is the nearest courthouse?

Do you have an address or website link to it? Might try and find out how much a return taxi journey would cost.....
