Uk booking - lost out on $150 spending money offer!

Hi,


I booked on 28th Aug the UK package on the WDW website through the walt disney travel company for;

14nights at CSR
with 14 days for the price of 7 ultimate ticket
Free quick service dining


I went on the website today and the offer has been revised and now is exactly as above but also includes a $150 disney gift card

I called the UK reservation line and asked if my booking had this $150 on it and was told it only came on as of 1st Sept and cannot be added to my booking now.
I asked if it was possible to cancel and rebook to get the new offer and was told yes... but I'd lose my £100 deposit that I've paid so it looks like I've lost out due to claling 3 days too early- how frustrating!

Are you within the 45 day cancellation period? Are the cancellation windows still the same as here in the States? When are you travelling?

Either way, even if you cancel and rebook, you'd still get $50 out of the deal (lose $100 to make $150)...

£100 is about $162, so there would be a loss still with cancel/rebook

UK bookings are not like US bookings. The UK deposit is basically non-refundable.

Oh poop! nevermind, I did email customer services very nicely asking to be allowed the $150 but it was a firm and polite 'No'! haha
oh well - serves me right for being so impatient!
