Take heart, it really may not be all that bad. I once left ours on overnight (about 12 hours), and freaked out the next day. Well, mostly b/c we were in a long term severe drought, on tight watering schedules, and with the way it was affecting everything I felt like I'd just kicked a bunch of puppies and dolphins. But I was also concerned about the bill, which really only ended up being about $5-$10 more.
