We signed up to make blankets for Project Linus for Disney's Give-A-Day Program. We have to make 2 blankets each. I let the boys pick out a fleece for each blanket. I am making the No-Sew fringed fleece blankets. So things were going welland we were cranking them out. BUT.....
One of the fabrics is different than the rest! It is very soft/cuddly material that I thought was fleece. I cut it to the correct size, but the edges are just falling apart. It is leaving little lint pieces all over! I haven't cut the fringes, but I think it is going to be a mess! What should I do???
I hate to waste the material and my son REALLY wants to make/give this blanket- he loves the cuddly material!
Should I go ahead and cut the fringes and just let it be? Should I try to sew some kind of an edge? I do have a sewing machine, but have only used it like 3 times! I would need really good instructions if someone has an idea that involves sewing! I don't even know if that is allowed with Project Linus. Can you sew a straight edge on a piece of fleece and call it a blanket???
Help me please!
