Uh-oh, look what's BACK.....

We will all have to take a can of Bedlam bedbug spray when we travel now. Anywhere...............................:sad2:

I don't understand why start another thread about bedbugs when it doesn't even mention Disney :confused3

...the reason why I started this was to make folks aware that the problem DOES exist and there was a recent rise in incidences. I'm sure that they would not be speculating about WHICH resorts may [or may NOT] have this problem, but I don't think they would specifically 'call out' names like Hilton, Ramada, Marriott, and the like without disastrous results. I only presented the info as a public service, if you will, to just educate those who will be travelling in the near future. It wouldn't be prudent to assume that Disney DEFINTIELY DOES NOT have this problem - I'm just alerting to folks to be vigilant, to avoid any problems they may may reget later on....I am also not going to be presumtuous to say that it's strictly the VALUES that suffer, opposed to, say, the Deluxes - this problem could happen ANYWHERE!

And we DO appreciate the fact that you are keeping folks informed of this potential problem. Hey, these things could be anywhere........

...exactly.....obviously, lots of people took the 'not here' attitude, and look what happened....:confused3

My dh thinks I'm crazy because I check the mattress as soon as we get to the room.

The article may not say Disney, but I know someone who went to Disney and their bed was infested with bedbugs....

I just read another post about someone who stayed in a room recently dusted for bedbugs. I agree that you should always be aware & vigilant.

I assume I will be fine, but that doesn't mean I won't check.

thank you for making us aware (although I am itching now and a little freaked out!) I wasn't aware of this until now, and I will definitely bring a flashlight and check the mattress at every hotel in every city from now on!

Thanks for sharing this. Disney is not immune to bed bugs and it is by no means a reflection on cleanliness. We stayed at the Grand Californian last week and our room had been dusted for bed bugs. We stayed at POR in February and unfortunately they hitched a ride home in our suitcases....now that was a nightmare! Always check your mattress before you unzip your suitcase.
