Uh Oh, I'm hooked on GF!!!

Just back from GF and I think I'm hooked, not only on getting back to WDW soon, but staying at the GF!! Hubby doesn't want to go back for 3 years!!! And then he said he would prefer the WL to the GF.

How can I convince him to go back sooner and stay at the GF???

What kind of room did you have and what building were you in. GF is my favorite too. I've got my DH hooked also. One time we stayed at the Poly-it was very nice,but he didn't really care for it. I have to admit, the whole time I was there I kept looking across the lagoon, sad we weren't at the GF. I guess if you stayed at the WL at least you would have the "out of sight, out of mind" kind of thing. I know a lot of people love the WL. I just like the convenience of the monorail-my kids are 5 and 8 and still love the MK. They are getting a little more into Epcot and MGM so maybe next time I'll change too.

Tell your DH that you will be glad to return in three years and stay at the WL with him....however, YOU are going back MUCH sooner and staying at the GF with or without him!

You could try to talk him into a trip next year and split your stay between GF and WL. My DH grudgingly agreed to our first Disney trip (he claimed that was the only one until we had kids) and we've been back twice since! I think he hates to admit how much he likes it!

We stayed in Boca Chica. The problem is, I DID leave DH home this time! It was jus me and DD for her birthday.

Can you stay at GF if you own DVC?? I've actually convinced DH to look into buying DVC but I would like options to stay anywhere we wanted.

GF is just so perfect, my kids are 6 and 3 and I love the convenience, plus they took great care of DD on her birthday!

Did you like that building? Was it a far walk to the main building. It is so deceptive, all the buildings look pretty close but everyone keeps talking about which building is best.

I agree with your DH I would go to WL over the GF the GF is to ritzy for my taste and it makes you feel like you are walking on eggshells and can't touch anything especially if you bring your kids. I love the look and feel of WL it is just more relaxed feeling and you don't feel like you can't touch anything for fear of it breaking. Now the 3 years thing I couldn't do I am having to but not wanting to.

I Loved Boca Chica! It was right outside the main pool, we were on the 4th floor overlooking the pool, and it wasn't . I wanted MK view but didn't want to spend the $$ to upgrade! Maybe next time! It was a 2 minute walk to the main building and to the shuttle boat. I think all the buildings are fairly close together, you probably can't go wrong anywhere at GF!

You can stay at any Disney resort using DVC points. But it is not a good use of your points as it costs you so many more points that staying at a DVC resort.
