lol... just heard that the weather over here about the time i'm going to DLRP is gonna be about -15 or something stupid! i'm gonna FREEZE!!

gonna have to get me some thermals.... lol...

I just read your mail and then looked up the 2 week forecast for where I live. Didn't get past this Friday though - when I'm taking the children to school (and we walk) it will be a real feel of -10. I'll be getting thermals too I think!

Hi Becks, me gonna freeze too... I got some hand warmers and feet warmers from ebay especially for our xmas trip. I tried one out yesterday... I kept it in my coat pocket from lunch time and it was still warm at 7.00pm!!

Where can you get the hand and foot warmers?

I got my hand and feet warmers on EBAY. The sellers name is skiwear4less. They cost £4.99 for 6 pairs and postage was only 99p. well worth every penny IMO.

Do you have to use Paypal for Ebay or can you just use a credit card? My paypal expired some time ago and I never got around to renewing it.

Nicola, you can contact the company direct and order over the phone with your credit card, saves going through EBAY..... their number is 0871 226 3347. Good Luck

Thanks Tia. Going to contact them shortly.

Interesting idea!! I've bookmarked the seller and will be very interested to hear how well the warmers work.

yes...keep us informed! Are they reusable and how do you heat them up in the first place...do you need a microwave?

They come in a sealed packet... you just take them out, give them a massage and shake them a few times and they start to warm up, it's amazing. Honest the one I tried out yesterday stayed warm for hours, you can't re-use them though. You get 6 pairs for £4.99!!! Not much to pay for keeping hands toastie all day.

And of course you'll just have to have warm-up stops for hot chocolate :goodvibes

Just to put my vote in for the heat packs - they are really excellent and last literally HOURS. You can probably get them from your high street "outdoorsy" type shop. :)

I do a lot of fishing in winter (mad huh!) and can vouch for the warmpak thingies :sunny: . They really do stay toasty for hours. With those and a nice warm fleecy hat (plus the rest of your clothes of course ;)) and copious amounts of Hot Choccy will see off all but the very chilliest of days.

And of course then there's always POTC, only problem being if it's that chilly you won't want to get off it! :rotfl:

That would be really cold. My husband took his jacket off last december in the village to have his photo taken (a macho thing) he was almost blue afterwards. Imagine with no clothes on!!!!
