from WDW to see if I made any ADRs for my trip beginning Sept 30th!
Why of course I made them- thank you for the call anyway.

I cant believe they are doing this- mustve had TONS of complaints last year?

Guess it will be a lot more crowded than I expected!

Hmmmm . . . maybe you're right about the complaints. If it wasn't for this site, I would have NO IDEA that I had to make dinner reservations 6 months in advance. When I first heard about this, I thought only fanatics did it, and that it was not necessary. I hope that people who don't know about it who got the phone call, will make their reservations so they won't be disappointed.
Good thing they're calling people.

You know I had to add a day at the start of our trip - there was no issue with getting a "free dining room" added last week at POP, but the sweet CM reminded me to get all me reservations for dining done like 3 times. (Which are completed-whew) I advised her they were all completed.

I wonder how they decide who to call? We leave September 24th and haven't gotten a call. Wouldn't it be easier to send a letter or email then no one gets missed? Thank goodness for Dis keeping all of us on track. :surfweb:

No call for me, either, and we leave on Sept. 28th.

I've made my reservations, except for ONE that I just haven't been able to get yet. Maybe if they call me I'll have them check one more time for me to see if it's available yet :wizard:

We haven't been called (we leave Sept 22), but, last night, DW reconfirmed all of our ADR's. They were being held under our telephone number, and it turned out that two were made with her cell phone number. Good thing we checked! :thumbsup2

We got the call 3 days ago and we leave on 9/29. I went ahead and tried for another ADR at Concourse steakhouse at dinner time on 10/3 and they only had a 7:30 which was too late for us. Then I asked about the next day and they had a 5:50! I guess we got lucky!

Just curious. I see you are only 17 days away from your trip. Were you within the 45 day reservation period when you did this? If so, did they charge you a $50. change fee to add the day?

Thanks.

I know this question was for the OP, but, I leave in 9 days, I added another day onto our package a couple of days ago, NO fee to add the day!
I think there is only a fee when you cancel days? or cancel the entire trip.

I didnt get the call either, but i'm in Canada so that might be why. We're leaving on September 20th and made our ADR in May. Yestertday, i decided to switch a few things around and was able to get the ADR I wanted. Crystal Palace for an 8am breakfast and Coral Reef for for a lunch at noon. I was pretty impressed. Cant help but thinking that this might mean that the crowds wont be too bad :cool1:

Thanks for the info. Actually, the package "Terms and Conditions" indicate they charge $50. for any changes after the 45 day period (not talking about cancelling). BUT, I'm so glad they didn't charge you. :teeth: Maybe they meant if you change the trip to a different week or whatever. I read it differently, though. Sometimes being overly analytical can bite you. :confused3

No we did not have a charge also.Just the room rate. The CM was was really great to deal with.

I wish they made a link on the website to make ADR on there...would be so much easier

We made our ADR'S starting 6 months out and as soon as we could get them! the only reason we did that is because we've been there before without any and it was a pain to get somewhere to eat! even WITH ADR'S it can take quite a while to get a seat! :confused3 Some of our ADR'S were 180 days out and I was up at 4:00 am which is 7:00 am their time to make the reservations but it will be worth it in the end. :thumbsup2
So to those of you who haven't made yours yet....GET TO IT! :woohoo: and have a wonderful time! Helen

It's not advertised as such, but they generally will only charge you for changes if you are not spending money. if you're adding days or upgrading, I've never heard of anyone getting charged.
