Ugh..

My DH gave his 2 weeks notice last friday. He got a better job closer to home. The job he has now is great, except for the people he works with. His manager is a jerk who takes advantage of him, calls him names and constantly talks behind his back. Since he's given his 2 weeks notice, he's gotten worse, spreading rumors and really bad-mouthing him. So my DH has decided that this friday is his last day. He's not coming back for his last 4 days. His manager told him he's being hard to deal with since he gave his 2 weeks (untrue-my DH just decided not to take his crap). Don't know why I posted, just wanted to vent a little. I feel so bad for DH because he did everything he was asked at this job, even if it meant giving up his lunch hour and staying late in the day. He's a good worker and deserves better. I'm so glad he's leaving that job!

Well, just think of it this way... he will be out of there VERY SOON, even if he stays til next Friday, it's better not to burn the bridge... just think he'll be leaving soon...

at my old job, they took it VERY personnally if you were looking for a job or quiting. If they found out you were looking for a job, they fired you. If you gave them your 2 weeks notice, more often than not, they would dump all your stuff in a box the day you gave the notice and have security escort you out. I actually was the first person they let do their last two weeks but that was only b/c I did so much work for them that they needed me to finalize things for them before I went.
