He is 8. Last night his eyes were bloodshot. This morning he complained of nausa and proceed to ...., he has no appetite (& is usually a human garbage disposal), around noon he developed a fever. He has spent the entire day sleeping (or vomiting). My questions are: how long does this bug last? Are the rest of us going to come down with it & when?

Sending some pixie dust your way. Hope your son gets better and it skips right over the rest of you:(

For what its worth, I got the bug starting 8pm Thursday night and woke up this morning feeling fine. All day yesterday though :crazy2: it was awful!

I think he will be fine by Friday, the big question is will the rest of you catch it. Just wash hands a lot, if you haven't caught it in the next few days you'll probably be okay. That is why I always hated the winter trips to WDW, always worried about the kids getting sick. We were always lucky. Have a good trip, I'm sure you will all be healthy by Friday. Don't forget the antibacterial wipes for the plane and tell the kids not to run their hands over everything in the airport or at Disney!!

Keep everyone else away from him and get him to take plenty of fluids with rest. He should be fine by Friday.

Sending PD your way that he recovers quickly and no one else catches it. I go along with others saying try to keep everyone away as much as possible, lots of washing of the hands and disinfect as much as possible.

Each of my kids only had it for about 12-15 hours. My DH and I never got it. PD coming your way. I hope you have a wonderful trip.

dvcfamily, what a beautiful family picture. A very nice looking family.

Thanks for all of the good thoughts. I think he's better. He was still sick last night but this morning he was running up the stairs. Seemed like himself. I did notice his brother's eyes are a bit bloodshot this morning. If he has to be sick I'd rather he get it over with. DH usually manages to dodge the illness that go around the house. I'm on antibiotics for my chronic sinus infection - feel much better than I have since this started in Nov. Actually I hardly notice it anymore.
