I got a text message today from Citi saying there had been fraud on my account. So I call and one charge had gone through for $91 in MA and about 3 other attempts, all over $100 had been turned down. I haven't used my card in over 2 years. I forgot to even activate it when it came last summer. So it's never been activated and yet Citi still let that charge go through. It says on the card "it cannot be used until you call." Shouldn't there be some sort of flag in place for that? It's so frustrating. We said we wanted to cancel the card because of this. The outsourced customer service agents simply didn't understand what DH was saying and refused to let him talk with a supervisor. They also refused to cash out my dividends, but I can live w/out the $40. At least we're not being held responsible for the charges. I wonder why they need a gov't bail out when they make simple fraud mistakes like this. Makes me glad I no longer work for them.
