Ugh... ate the monte cristo and now I feel SO ill.

Last night I was all excited to finally have the chance to eat the much talked about monte cristo. My wife also had the three cheese cristo. It was an okay sandwich, not really superb, but it was cool that I had finally had one. And we got to watch a commercial being filmed for the new Dream Suite commercial.

About an hour later, I felt SO ill. Quesy, nauseated, etc. At first I thought it must have been something I ate earlier in the day at work. But nope- then my wife threw up!

Maybe it was a bad batch of something?

Hi! I loved seeing all that hubbub in front of the Dream Suite. :)

I didn't eat either of those sandwiches, nor did I eat at Cafe Orleans or BB...but I felt BEYOND ill yesterday. I only wished I could have thrown up, b/c I was just feeling so low.

I noticed bunches of people coughing nasty coughs all around (seriously, if your 8year old is croup-coughing, take the kid back to the room, Molly says to those people around her the last 2 days), and wondered if I got some dramatic and powerful "bug".

Or maybe there was something wrong with the cheese or the frying oil?

It totally could have been some weird bug, but we got there at 5, ate at the restaurant, and then rode two rides before we could get out of there before I threw up all a ride. Yikes.

I don't know, I mean, the first couple bites of the sandwich were yummy, then I kept thinking about what it was- a DEEP FRIED sandwich, and I just had to put it down. Maybe it was a mental thing?

But those garlic fries, man oh man those were good.

Possibly mental. :) But those things seem hard to eat. My brother, who is a fit and trim marathon-running guy, who CAN pack the food away if he's had a hard run that morning, could only eat half of his. It was just so heavy. And this is a guy who orders this dish at his fave Mexican restaurant called fundido; it's a dish of melted cheese and then they order chorizo on top, then they scoop it up with tortillas. He and his also fit and trim and itsy wife can polish that dish off (in a banana split sized and shaped dish), but he could only eat half of that sandwich.

I tried to tell hubby about that when he ordered the cheese monte christo FRENCH TOAST, but he scarfed it and felt ill after. Silly boy, I tried to tell him. But he said it was so small he just thought people on the Dis were being wimpy...he paid for his arrogance. Not as ill as you guys were, but fairly ill anyway! And that was just the french toast.:scared:
