Uggs Sizing

I'm looking for some Uggs slippers on ebay. Apparently, size 8.5 is hard a difficult size. How to their sizes run? Are they true to size? Thanks

Ok, I'm an idiot. (As you can tell by my OP with about a million typos in it)

so, does this mean that I should get an 8 or a 9? (I'm an 8.5) Thanks.

I would get a size up. It would give you more heel room and your toes won't be squished in.

My DD just bought some boots and I *thought* I was told that they didn't come in 1/2 sizes. Anyway, I was always told that they run a little large and if, say, you wear an 8.5 you should get an 8. My DD wears an 8 shoe and we got an 8 boot because that's all they had. I wear an 8.5 shoe and I find the size 8s to be quite comfy.

The UGG boots do run big. My daughter's boots are a size smaller than what she normally wears, and she has plenty of room in them.

I agree- my slippers are a 7 and I usually wear an 8 in shoes. I don't have boots, but when I have tried them on I needed the 7 as well.

I bought Uggs at Christmas and got a "tutorial" from the sales person as follows:

Uggs DO NOT come in half sizes. Sorry that you've spent so much time trying to find a half size!

The general rule is that you buy one size down from your normal size b/c they are built "bigger" than true size. And, they will stretch. Therefore, I wear a size 6 and went down to a size 5. You'd think they'd be too tight or my toes would jam up but they fit like a glove --- perfect in every way! They're so warm and cozy that when I get to work I don't want to take them off!!!!! It feels like you're wearing slippers. Matter of fact, DH owes me a Christmas present so I told him he give me the $$ for a pair of Ugg slippers! I'm off to get them today!!!

Waterproof your Uggs w/the Uggs spray. If you don't use the spray and something happens to them they won't let you return them. I sprayed my Uggs w/the Uggs spray the day I got them and they got all spotty. I figured they'd dry but when they remained spotty a few days later, I took them back to the store. The sales person said that b/c my sales slip showed the Uggs spray on it, they gave me a new pair!!!! If I used anything else, I would've been out. Now, this might be a store policy or it might be an Uggs policy. Not sure ... but at least I wasn't left w/a pair of spotty boots!

They also make several different kinds of Uggs ... so be sure you find the pair you like best. I bought the "standard" type that it seems everyone has. A friend of mine just bought these cute zip-up Uggs that are a bit higher on your leg and they're really cute. I wish I would've seen those (she ordered on-line) but I still love my standard chocolate brown Uggs!
