Uggh! Help Please!

How do I get my up slide pieces to get higher? When I try to put it on a crate it doesn't work.

You have to make the crates the same

There are little pole things that you can buy to help with this.

Whenever I try to put a piece on the poles, like half of it shows and it let me place it there.
