Uggghhhh!

I've been procrastinating all morning, but I need to get out of my church clothes and into my gym clothes and get myself to the Y. Can somebody please cyberslap me?

I used to love going to the Y, but this winter has been so cold and miserable that their membership has gone through the roof and the place is crowded. I work out at 5:00 in the morning on weekdays and even then it's crowded.:mad:

Today is cold, so I'm sure they are busy....I'm just hoping everyone went early and will be gone by the time I get there. I'm planning to get there at noon.:rolleyes:
 
You'd better duck, Annie! I hear there is a Texan around these parts who would LOVE to slap you! :) (but she loves to slap/hit everyone, read her tag...)

You know you will feel better once you get to the Y and do your workout. DH, my sister and I just got back from our power walk. We were all still pretty sleepy with the time change (and DH returned from Dallas late last night, so we didn't get to bed until after 1:00 in the morning thanks to his LATE flight!) but I am so happy that we walked! Sometimes we'll chat so much that walk is over before you know it. Today was one of those days, but I was still really conscious of every step. I kept thinking how exercise is helping to get me to my goal faster than if I'd chosen to stay home.

I don't envy all you guys who are dealing with this cold weather and trying to exercise when it would be nicer to curl up under a blanket, but I have a TON of admiration for you all for getting out in the cold weather!

I'm in my workout clothes and I just have to put my socks and sneaks on and head out the door. I plan on doing 30 minutes aerobic and upper body weight training.

Thanks for the push! I needed that. Can you please send some of that warm weather up here when you get a chance?

What are you on the DIS for??? Get them socks and sneaks on and get out the door!!!!! GO GO!!! You will be glad you did!!
 

Thanks Jiminy!!! I did it! I did it! 1/2hour on the treadmill and 1/2hour upper body (chest, back, bi's, tri's and shoulders) free weights, and boy do I feel better!!!!!!!!! It's funny you (i guess meaning me) think that resting makes you feel better, when it really doesn't. It makes me lazier. A good workout perks me right up!!!!

Well, darn! I had a chance for a cyber slapping workout and I missed it ;)

Good for you going to the Y even though you really didnt want to go. You are a very determined WISHer, aren't you? I'm proud of you.

Don't worry about me cyber slapping anyone, I have bad aim ;)
