I need some help. I am thinking of getting DD some Uggs for Xmas.
She wears a woman's 8.5 running shoe.

What size ugg boots?
Also, ifyou have some uggs, can you measure the heel to toe on the outersole and post this with the size you have? Thanks.

I asked around and my daughter wears an 8 in womens nike sneakers. You can buy youth sizes and they are cheaper! We got her a size 6 in youth at Zappos.com for $93 total (next day shipping free)!!!!:cool1:

I just got a pair for myself and I got an 8. I wear a 9 in all my shoes and the 8 fit me perfectly. I'm sorry I can't measure them for you, I've already wrapped them.

I wear anything from an 8 1/2 to a 9 1/2 depending on the brand. I can't get my foot in a youth size. I always buy the men's sizes, they run a bit wider and I get a better fit when a shoe doesn't come in half sizes.

Depends on the boots. Classics (short, tall and mini) run a size big. Most of the non-traditional Ugg boots/ clogs run true to size. If she wears an 8, I'd go with a 7 in the Classic Uggs. Otherwise, they're really loose and end up driving you crazy walking in them.

I am debating whether or not to get dd a youth 5 or 6. Her shoes run between 7 1/2 and 8. She tried my uggs on which are a womans 6. Too small of course. Not sure if I should size down to seven or up to 8 and then drop two sizes for youth. Any suggestions?

My DD wears a Nike size 8 (with some growth room since she is 9). I bought her a kids size 5 b/c I was told that was equivalent to a women's 7. My 8's are too big for her. She has a kids size 3 right now and they are way too small but she is still wearing them with her toe touching the front. I was afraid to go 3 sizes bigger so I went with the 5.

I wear a 9 1/2 running shoe and my UGGs are size 8's. I tried a 9 at first but they were too big. And they get a little bigger as you wear them because the shearling under your foot starts to kind of smash down and form to your foot.

Thanks for the input. I went ahead and ordered a 5.

I bought my DD15 a pair for her bday, she wears and 8.5 and I bought her an 8. They're a perfect fit. She wears her's withouth socks though.

I was actually happy trying on Uggs! I always wear a womens size 9. Always. And I tried on the Coquettes and had to go with the 7. The 9 and 8 that I tried on were way too big.

My DD wears a 10 1/2 women's Nike (she could probably wear an 11 by now.) So should I get her a 9 1/2 in Uggs?

This is probably to late but....... I wear a 7-7.5 in womens. I originally ordered the 8 in womens. They were big which normally wouldn't bother me, but they LOOKED huge on my feet. So those are going to my daughter for her birthday. She wears an 8. I ended up ordering the youth size 6 for myself. They fit great. Not to small but a little extra room for the heavy socks. I did measure the boot heal to toe 10.5"

What about children's sizes. Right now, my 10 year old girl wears a 3.5. I'd like to get her a 4; she's due for a growth spurt.
