A large majority of people recommend renting a car when you stay at Aulani. There's loads of stuff to do all over the island and you're not going to want to be limited to just uber to get around.

It really depends on the time of day and what size uber you may need. You can check it yourself by going to the uber app. Just don't actually complete the ride request when you do that. Also, be sure you do this about the right time of day that you'll be arriving at HNL.

An Uber XL cost us $80, tipped $20.
The taxis that are usually qued up are flat rate, I think it was $75, tipped the same, but was actually more convenient.

As mentioned, IF you are not just staying at the resort, a rental will work out better for traveling to tour and sightsee.
Also, if you are NOT staying as DVC, the daily Aulani parking fee adds $40 per day to your costs.

Uber pricing is very difficult to predict. I would budget between 50 to 120 dollars. You might be an able to get a better deal if you pre book for arrival.
