Uber to SNA?

I have never tried Uber. Have you?
I would like to try Uber for our ride from the Grand Californian to SNA (Wednesday, 12/17 around 1 PM).

I would love to hear your Uber stories.

You could just take a taxi, which are always waiting at GCH
A flat-rate airport coupon is available from Guest Services (not sure of the price).

Certainly an option, although I once read that the flat rate can actually be more expensive than the meter. Not sure if that is true? We usually take the Disneyland Express bus.

Also, Uber has a promotion for $30 off your first ride. Pretty tempting to give them a try.

The flat rate coupon you get at GCH is better than asking for flat rate at SNA for the ride to GCH. I think this coupon is for $35. I did Uber from SNA to GCH and it went fine. The driver took about 15 min to arrive after I requested a ride; he took a wrong turn on the highway, but it didn't take us much out of the way. His car was small (like a Toyota Corolla), but new and clean. I also used a first ride promotion and I think the total cost was $10-15.00 which is probably what your ride will end up being. I know Uber basic can no longer 'legally' pick up at SNA, though they still do. I am not sure if there are any issues picking up picking up at GCH.
