Uber/taxi pickup area at downtown disney ?

where is the Uber/taxi pickup area at downtown disney? I have tried searching out google maps, but can only find the valet drive by the hotel. & do the drivers understand that is where you want them to pick you up? or is it difficult to get an area chosen for pickup ( meaning are there more than one place?)

Your best bet is to actually go to the front of the DLH or GCH ( if you can - I did this about a year ago) to be picked up. I'm not sure if the actual DTD area has a distintc pickup area.

We were there two weeks ago and had no problem getting an Uber to pick us up in the Downtown Disney parking lot between ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe.

There was a thread recently where someone said that the Uber/Lyft pickup technically was now near Magic Wy/the parking lot area before you reached the parking booths, but that when it's not crowded they've picked up at the old area by ESPN. It even had a good map, but for the life of me I can't find the thread.

TBH, if I was in DTD anyway, I'd probably walk over to Harbor and have them pick me up there.
