Uber/Lyft to and from parks

I'm going to be in Orlando staying at the Gaylord Palms for a work seminar on the 12th and 13th. I'm coming in around 8:30 on the morning of the 11th and want to do a full day at Universal. My plan is to drop my bag at the hotel, take an Uber or Lyft to the parks then back to the hotel later that evening. My question is where do ride share services drop you off and pick you up at the parks? Is there a designated area? Just curious so I can put together a plan for the day.

It would be easier to have Uber/Lyft drop you off at Hard Rock Hotel

Walk to the parks from there
It would be maybe a 5 minute walk for you

This is probably the most simplest way to avoid lines or crowds coming from the City Walk section to the parks

I wonder if you can avoid the new Uber convenience fee this way too?

OP - don't take the windy paths to the studios from HRH. Go through the parking lot behind the hotel.
