Uber/Lyft/Taxi or car rental??

has anyone used their own car seats with a taxi or Uber? We are considering bringing ours and using Uber or a taxi because it is significantly less than the car services that provide seats.

Yes, I brought a car seat in January and put it into a Lyft to and from the airport with no issues.
