Uber/Lyft now seating 6?

Can anyone confirm that Uber/Lyfts are now allowing 6 passengers in the XL vehicles?

Back when we were making plans, no more than 5 people were allowed per vehicle due to Covid, so we made a rental car reservation (we are a family of 6).

I just noticed on the Uber/Lyft apps that there are vehicles now listed with a capacity of 6. This would definitely make me rethink our car rental plans.

Any recent experiences anyone can share?

Yes, they have dropped their Covid safety requirements, so the front seat is now available to passengers.
