We are staying in a cabin next week at Fort Wilderness. If we order a Uber do we pick it up at the reception outpost?

Correct. Pickups for taxis, towncars, Uber/Lyft/etc is at the Outpost Building where check-in occurs (actually on the side facing the parking lot). The privilege of picking you up directly at the cabin or campsite is strictly reserved for Disney's own Minnie Van service.

Well, there is golf cart parking up at the Outpost Bus Depot (which faces the main parking lot) in case you want to go to Epcot, AK, DHS, water parks, and Disney Springs.



The Outpost Bus Depot is circled in red for those locations listed above. Golf cart parking is highlighted in yellow behind the Bus Depot (and overflow down the side of Fort Wilderness Trail). The checkin building is in the bottom middle of the pic for reference.

Even if you use Uber to go someplace, you need to park in yellow. The carts shown upper left of the checkin building is where you PICK UP your golf cart. It is NOT daily parking for gc.
