Uber and Race days

Any personal experience taking Uber to the parks on race days, as runners (i.e. early morning)? My daughter and I are doing the Dark Side 10k next month, and would love to rely on Uber transportation to get us around.

Never used Uber on property nor have I participated in any running events, however I will observe that Uber drivers will be subject to the same road closure rules as any other vehicle. Disney bus routes typically have special service for race day. I guess I'd also be concerned about "surge pricing" if a lot of runners try to use uber at the same time.

I saw no one complain about surge pricing on the princess page here or on FB.

The surge pricing issue as well as general availability at 4:30 in the am were my primary concerns. There is a statement on the run disney site that says cab drop off area is available, but I suppose that's different than the Uber dropoff at Epcot (is it still that way -- it was back in October)

Theres an uber dropoff and pickup area in the Journey parking lot, near the cab queue, past bus bay 3
