UBER and Car Seats

We used Minnie Vans our last trip and were very happy with them.

We plan on using them again this upcoming trip as well, but with the price increase it may make more sense to use Uber instead depending on our destination

What has your experience been with getting a car seat with Uber? How does it work I never used Uber before is there somewhere to put in in the app that you need a car seat.

How was it being able to get a car seat with them etc. She I go this route more or would it be easier with a minnie van.

You can request an UBER with a carseat its a separate option. How old is the child?

I'd check the prices first. I've been playing around and honestly, $25 for a vehicle + a car seat is not all that out of line.
Depends on what size Uber you need and where you are going
For example, right now, a ride from Pop to CR
XL+ Car seat, which is an equivalent size vehicle to Minnie Van, $25, before tip
X+ Car seat (smaller than Minnie Van) $17, before tip

There are fewer Uber's with car seats than Minnie Vans. Uber has quit allowing new drivers to sign up for the Car Seat option also. So only those already signed up are able to participate. As they leave Uber driving, it reducing the numbers of Uber + car seat available.

Yes depending on where I am going on property I agree minnie van would be the way to go. My concern is there are more resorts who can use minnie vans and I do not want to have to wait longer for them. Last trip the most we ever waited was 15 mins for one around the dinner rush

It's very possible the waits for Uber + Car seat will be as long. There are not many

Just install the Uber app on your phone, and set up an account & payment method. If you never use it, you've lost only a few minutes of your time.

On the Uber app, you swipe the vehicle type left or right to change the vehicle. The vehicles you want are "UberX + Car Seat" for up to 4 riders, or "UberXL + Car Seat" for 5-6 riders. When you put in the pickup point and destination, it will show you the ETA and cost; you can decide then whether to request the ride or go with a MV on the Lyft app instead. (The car seat option will not show up unless you're in an area where they are available.)

Uber car seats are typical forward-facing seats, not suitable for infants under 1yo, and may not be suitable for larger children who can use a booster seat.
