Uber after parade

How terribly hard is it to get an uber after the evening MK parade? I assume the cost is more expensive at that time too. How early do you need to get to the parade to get good seating for the little ones to enjoy and the best location?

I'm not a huge parade person, but I would give at least 2 hours minimum to get to your desired spot for parade viewing. This would be assuming you got all your rides/attractions scripted. On your way to wherever your spot may be, definitely get some snacks to munch on to quell your young buckaroos' hunger.

When I tried to scope a spot in a similar manner for fireworks in the Magic Kingdom, many spots were taken by the time I finished Tron.

In respect to the Uber, yes the rates are fluid and can change unexpectedly. Be prepared to shell out Disney gift shop level prices getting back to wherever your hotel may be. You'll also need to be patient as well, as waits also vary. If you're leaving before fireworks (weather allowing) and in your case after the parade, you shouldn't be waiting too long. If it's after the fireworks and near closing, you'll be waiting a long time at the rideshare area while the Disney Transport buses whoosh by.

There isn't an evening parade currently. The Festival of Fantasy parade currently runs at Magic Kingdom at noon and again at 3:00. There has been discussion about a new nighttime parade coming in the future, but it hasn't started yet nor have I heard an anticipated date.
Keep in mind that if you wish to leave the Magic Kingdom by Uber or Lyft, you must first take the ferry or monorail to the TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center). Uber and Lyft are not permitted to pick up or discharge passengers at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.

OP, you probably know this but in case others don't -- you can't get an Uber directly at Magic Kingdom at any time, parade or no parade. You can walk to Contemporary and request an Uber from there. Or you can take the monorail or ferryboat to the Transportation & Ticket Center and request an Uber from there. Uber, Lyft, and taxis are not allowed to pick up or drop off at the Magic Kingdom. Minnie Vans are allowed to pick up and drop off at the Magic Kingdom; they have one of the bus slots.

We have walked to the Contemporary and caught an Uber at the end of the night (after fireworks so busy) a couple times. Very quiet and peaceful sitting on a bench waiting. I don't recall pricing being outrageous, but you just never know on any given occasion.

I was going to suggest walking to Bay Lake Towers or The Contemporary. BLT is a little closer. It's nextdoor to the CR.

We are not going until June and I thought I read they were starting a parade in the summer but I didn't see dates yet. Thank you

Dates have not been announced yet. I would not be planning anything around expecting it for a June trip tbqh.

Walking to CR to get a rideshare is my preferred way of getting back from MK if I’m not staying at a monorail resort. There’s very often surge pricing if you try this directly after fireworks, but considering we don’t have this parade yet, no one can tell you whether or not this will be the case then too.
