U/Y question regarding booking..

My brain is foggy, and I'm having troubled sorting this out. So, all you booking pros, can you give me some advice?
June U/Y. Currently have no points for '16, 113 for '17 and 200 for '18. If I want to book a stay, in Dec '17, can I book that stay in Jan '17, borrowing pts from '18? I'm trying to book a stay in Dec for two couples, but also squeezing in a stay in Oct '16 and would need to borrow pts from '18 in order to book the Dec '17 stay when my window opens in Jan '17.

Yes, use of points depends on when you will be at WDW not when you go online or call to reserve. In Jan 2017, you can book Dec 2017 and use June 2017 points (the "current" use year points for that trip) and borrow your June 2018 points.

Here's my cheat sheet method of plotting out what I can/can't do 2 trips - both in 2017 use year:
2017 points available to use for trips 6/1/2017 - 5/31/2018 = 113 points available
trip 10/2017 falls in 2017 use year - can use 2017 points and borrow next use year 2018 points
trip 12/2017 also falls in 2017 use year - can use current 2017 points (if any left) and borrow next year 2018 points
2018 points available to use for trips 6/1/2018 - 5/31/2019 = 200 pt.s available, can be borrowed into 2017 use year

Thanks! So I'll borrow 50 pts from 6/17 year, for Oct '16 stay. Leaves me 63 pts in 6/17 yr. I then use those 63 pts for my 12/17 stay, and borrow from 6/18 yr to get the remainder of pts needed.
Heaven forbid I want to go between Dec 16 and Dec 17! Looks like dd will have to find me a great room discount as a CM!!
