Typhoon Lagoon - worth it for Thanksgiving?

Hi guys! I'm new here at the boards and leaving for DW the Sunday before Thanksgiving and will be there the whole week - my family and I are getting a 5 day hopper and staying onsite at CSR. Basically here's my question: For a family of four (my mom, dad, myself-19, and my sis - 16), is a day (or half day) spent at Typhoon Lagoon worth it if none of us have been to WDW before?

Basically I guess I'm asking should we forego the water park in favor of going back to our favorite other park or going to DD for an extended shopping trip, especially since the weather won't be blisteringly hot?

I just wanted to say that TL was the highlight of our trip in August. We went in late August and it wasn't very crowded. That was perfect, no long lines.

We especially loved the Shark Reef snorkeling (we did it 13 times!) and we LOVED the huge wave pool.

I would recommend it!

Yeah, I bet it definitely could be one of those things to keep in mind if we felt really tired towards the end of the week and just wanted a kind of lazy play in the water day.

Thanks!

My husband, daughter (19) and myself went down last March and at the spur of the moment decided to do to Blizzard Beach ON Easter Sunday. It was EMPTY!! We arrived about 9:30, and by 11:30 we had done everything!! Some more than once!! And we enjoyed the rest of the day there just lazing around!! It was great! We left the day after to come home, and didn't regret not going back into a theme park. :flower:

In general, I highly recommend the Disney water parks.

Two points to ponder, though:

1. What will the weather be like at the end of November? We went last year the first week of December and it was pretty grey & overcast (and a bit chilly) on most days.

2. Since there are first-timers, there might be other things that you'll want to focus on (but ITA on the 'relaxing after multiple days at the park'.)
