Typhoon Lagoon - What To Bring?

Howdy!
What can we bring in to TL?
coolers? goggles? water bottles?
do you suggest water shoes?

I've seen people with goggles on but I'm not sure what else you can bring. We bring as little as possible...a towel and sunscreen with a few dollars for munchies, there are lockers available to put valuables in if you want them. We always get one just to make us feel better.

Are there showers?

We just brought towels and cloths to change into. We kept the cloths in lockers and had the towels on the chair. It was cool enough we didn't need water shoes to walk around on the sidewalk.

We like water shoes just because the pathways and the bottom of the pool are rough. You can bring food and water if you want, but Disney prohibits glass containers of any kind. For our room keys and a small amount of cash, we found it was easier to buy one of those plastic containers that goes around your neck (about the size of a deck of cards). They're available in the main shop at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Since it's not absolutely, completely waterproof, we also bring along sandwich or snack-sized ziplock bags to wrap money/room keys in first.

If you use water cameras it is a good idea to buy them at WalMArt or some where for @$7, they cost $21.99 at TL and BB. Also, if you like donuts they have THE BEST homemade FRESH warm donuts there. Expensive, $6 per dozen, but well worth the treat! Typhoon Lagoon is the best! I know you will have a ton of fun at the wave pool!!!!!

Someone up ahead of me here asked about showers, I see that they have some, but was wondering if anyone can tell me about them. Are they private stalls and are they gross or pretty clean? Thanks.

I forgot to pack my son's watershoes so I picked up a pair when we entered TL. $16.00 and he only wore them for two minutes

I did not go into any of the bathrooms/changing rooms, but there are outdoor showers for sure. Right by the locker area there are showers and foot showers out in the open. More or less to rinse off all the sand!

The showers have two curtains for each stall. I believe the first curtain is for the dressing area and then one for the separate shower area. They are concrete and are fair in cleanliness. They are not my favorite showers but they were good enough for me to take a shower in because it worked best for our touring. We went to AK, water, back to AK to catch the afternoon parade and somewhere else after that. It wasn't the best but we did do it again at the other water park to better utilize our time. They remind me of camp!

Underwater camera is good...I'll put it on my shopping list.

I like the idea of showering and heading back to a park....camplike showers will do just fine!

Do they sell the donuts all day or just in the morning? Yummy!

Donuts are available all day unless they run out, which they do on some of the busy days. I loved the days when the park was empty because after the park closed the cast would get the left over donuts that they couldn't use. Mmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about them.

And jsut a warning to add- I got one of the plastic things to put money in and while I was in the wave pool, I was knocked down by a wave- it opened and out flew my room key/charge card/ passes and the bit of money I brought. I would still use it, but just put stuff in a plastic bag first and then if you are hit by a large wave, just double-check that thing! I ended up putting mine in my suit top. Have fun!!
