Typhoon Lagoon VS Blizzard Beach: A battle for Water Park Supremacy!!!

My wife and I...along with four of her family members are spending a week at WDW. I want to go to both water parks(Typhoon and Blizzard). I haven't been to Typhoon since I was a kid(never been to Blizzard). My wonderful wife says we can only go to one(her family members may complain about paying money for 2 water parks)...so if I have to choose one over the other...which one should it be? Please help me DISBOARDS members...the success of my vacation hangs in the balance!!! Any pros and cons(constructive critism) will be appreciated. We are going in late September.

TL:Wave pool is great, as is the lazy river. It has a better atmosphere and theme.
BB:Better Slides.
We like TL much more. The atmosphere does it all. It's so much more relaxing.

BB has a totally fun theme but with the addition of Crush 'n' Gusher TL gets my vote!

I like Blizzard Beach for the ICE CREAM and the killer slides.

It's your vacation and you should be able to do what you want. You could arrange to meet them at a park later in the day if you get to one water park early. I say--go to both if you want to.

Personally, I love TL, BB is just okay with me. My kids love BB. Being from northwestern Pennsylvania, I can't get past the fake snow every where. That being said, there are more slides, wilder slides at BB. The wave pool at TL is great with the 6 foot waves. However, TL has a new water roller coaster I can't wait to try.

I love Blizzard Beach. The slides are much better (if you are adventurous). The family raft ride is WAY better than then one at TL.

If you want to relax, the wave pool is great at TL.

If I had to pick one, I'd pick Blizzard Beach.

Pick BB to go with the family... then go to TL on a morning on your own.... enjoy the wave pool and relax on the lazy river...

If they don't want to come to TL, enjoy it on your own. 5it is great and very relaxing)

I'll second the notion that BB has better slides, but TL has a far better wave pool. My teenagers and I talked about it, and we all agreed that TL would be better overall for younger children, BUT the wave pool creates such large waves that I would be scared to have anyone under 10 in that pool. Whichever park you go to, I would recommend going for the early magic hour (for resort guests only). We went to both parks at 8:30 am when they opened to the regular public at 9:30. We were able to go on every slide several times with virtually no line during that first hour - it was great.

After a week in WDW w/the in-laws & you'll be ready for a vacation.

Take a solo run to whichever one gets voted down by the majority.

We like TL, large wave pool, crush 'n gusher, shark swim & lots of shade .

We're not into extreme slides anyway so, the ones @ TL are just the tix for us.

I'm a chicken & thought the family tube ride was a hoot.

I think that I would go to both and meet up with the rest of the family (the ones that do not want to go to both) later.

TL has the shark reef and a great wave pool. My family personally prefers Blizzard Beach.

Hard choice.

id have to give my vote to TL because i love its atmosphere. The wave pool and lazy river are awesome and with CrushNGusher now there, TL IMO is better than BB.
