Hi! Anyone have any luck using those waterproof pouches for their iPhones on the slides at Typhoon Lagoon?? Want to hear other’s experiences. Thanks!!

50/50 here. I've had 2. One leaked, one was fine. I tested out at home prior to the trip. Put tissue paper in them, closed them up and put them in my laundry sink and put a rock on each to keep them down. Can't remember the brand. Got them on Amazon for $10 for the pair.

My results kept me from using them and decided to just keep my phone in a locker.

NOTE: This was intended for my iPhone SE which does not have any waterproofing/resistance.

My partner has used one for a few years now in many, many pools (including Tl and BB). never had any problems

Like a previous poster, I bought a pair on Amazon and tested them at home before we brought them. We went to a theme park in Mexico where you float down a lazy river that's legitimately a man-made river through a jungle. No issues whatsoever with an iPhone XS and an XS Max.

I usually use a locker at the Disney water parks so I would just verify you can bring your phone down the slides with you (can't recall off the top of my head if there's a rule against it or not).

We bought seawag brand at a six flags waterpark a couple years ago and it has worked great. No problems at all and well worth the $25 spent for peace of mind.

I used to have one from Amazon that worked flawlessly. It was "Dry Pak" brand, made of a rubbery plastic and I used it at water parks, in the ocean, everywhere, without any modifications and with no issue. It was a little hard to slide the phone in and out due to its rubberyness, but that was no big deal as it was so effectively waterproof. I looked up my order history and found it. This is the link:

Then I changed my phone and that no longer fit. So I had to order a different type & brand from Amazon. The other one arrived and it was a thinner plastic, with sharper seams that I worried might tear & leak at some point. I never felt comfortable using it on my phone.

So I guess the moral is that those pouches can go either way. The sturdier ones can truly work. If it feels even a bit flimsy, it's not worth the risk imo.

I use SealLine brand and I’ve never had one leak. I’ve used mine on all the Disney slides except the big body slides.

ETA: Should clarify I just don’t DO those—not sure if they’d be allowed on there or not.
