Typhoon Lagoon - go pro/cameras on rides?

Anyone know if you can take a go pro (with water proof housing, of course) or a water proof camera down the slides/rides at Typhoon Lagoon?

Just a follow up, we have a head band the GoPro goes on so it doesn't require hands or obstruct views (although hubby looks a little funny with it!)

Did anyone give you any trouble using that anywhere else in WDW? I ask because I had heard that some people were calling those floating handles "selfie sticks" and not allowing them.
