Typhoon Lagoon closes today until next year!

Dd will be gutted, she really wanted to swim with the sharks, closing for maintenance and refurb until the 5th Jan which then blizzard beach will close for the same!

I just dropped youngest and other half off at blizzard beach as they wanted to do a water park today (and my eldest isn't well - so we are staying at the villa)
They'd have done typhoon if we had known!
It's our first visit and we haven't done the water parks yet

Aww, we r gutted too, only just found out, we were there for a week in July and didn't bother going, thought we would go this time!

Yes only one water park is open in the winter, they close one then the other, same every year.

Typhoon Lagoon will be closed for its annual refurbishment October 28, 2012, through January 5, 2013

Blizzard Beach will close on January 6 for its annual rehab, which will run through March 16, 2013.

Yes every year, completely sensible business decision, you can reduce the amount of labour used in the water parks for 5 months - saving a heap of money and tidy and repair the parks. If it was my business, I'd do exactly the same.

now if they shut one for over 17 years and do no maintenance ,that to me looks like bad business sence
