Last summer or fall you could not take a bus from TL to your resort after about 2p.m. You rode to Epcot then got the bus to your hotel.
I think it was because of construction around Downtown Disney.
Is this still going on?

As far as I know, yes.

You should probably ask on the transportation board.

In Sept. of 2013 you still couldn't get a bus direct back to your resort after a certain time. They had you go to DTD and then transfer....very annoying. I wish I knew the cutoff time so we could maybe head out before that.

Ugghhhh.... Staying on property this summer for the first time in a few trips. Didn't plan on renting a car but we have 3 water park days planned, so I'm rethinking that!

There's 2 water parks. Blizzard Beach usually shares the AK bus. BB is also the location of Winter Summerland Mini Golf. No construction problems in that area. For TL, consider a taxi for return to resort. Compare that to rental car cost.

We went on Monday and when we came back in the afternoon we had to take a bus elsewhere to get home

I was just there last Monday and yes after 2pm the bus goes to Epcot and you have to transfer from there.

What if you leave at 1:50 pm lol will they take you to your resort?

Yes, that was a bummer, we even had to,go,through bag check at Epcot to,get on the monorail to TTC and then transfer to the resort monorail. Took forever!

Bag check to get to the monorail at Epcot?? Every time we've gone to Epcot the bag check is after the monorail...you could definitely use the monorail without going through bag check...has this changed recently?

No, it hasn't. You do not have to go through bag check. This comes up every once in a while.

This was a surprise to use when we went this Spring Break. It was not as bad as I imagined! The bus from Typhoon Lagoon drops you off at the bus stop area at Epcot. It just so happened that our resort bus stop was right next to where we were dropped off. Many folks on the bus were a little panicked riding over to Epcot but once we realized where the drop off was, it was a short walk to the rest of the bus stops.

Last Labor Day weekend we had to go through a bag check between the bus that dropped us at Epcot and the monorail, in the past I had encountered bag checks much closer to the actual park gate. We were let off at bus stops that were so far away, I had never approached Epcot or the monorail from that direction before.

This trip we are staying at the Yacht Club, is there a bus from EPCOT back to the resort? It's so close but not without cutting through the park.

No, at least not usually. It seems like there should be something since you have no choice but to use Epcot as a transfer point. You could take the bus from Epcot to DHS and then take the boat to the Yacht Club. If that's the only option, I would just take a cab.

You should try asking this question on the transportation board.

:)We decided to rent a car a few tears ago and one of the reasons was that the buses were cold and often infrequent when picking up at TL (our favorite). With the car we can relax and not worry about getting anyone elses wet or leaving the seats wet. We stay at POP so with a car we can get there in 10 minutes - we can be in our room before the buses show up on most days.
