My family and I just recently relocated to southern CA. We're planning on taking our kids to Disneyland in a couple of weeks.

My question is... does anyone know what kind of proof is acceptable to prove residency for so-cal APs? Obviously we don't have driver's licenses with our new address yet. The kids don't have any type of school IDs at all, etc. Can we bring a piece of mail or something?? What about the kids?

If nobody knows the answer, is there a phone number I can call?

Thanks in advance! :)

Only official mail counts - uility bill, cable bill, etc.

Children do not need IDs.

I have to say, chances are they will not card. I did not see them card anyone when we were there. Went with family from the area and we all used the s calif cards (were told if some in party were it was okay) no one asked for ID at the grocery store when we all bought them or at the gates any of the 3 days we went, fwiw

OP was asking about the So Cal APs, not the Summer Fun Passes. They absolutely do card for APs.

Check the AP site for blockout dates. So Cals are blocked until mid August.

True. However, on the day you buy them, they will let you use them even if it's a blackout date. I think they do this because you could just buy a one day hopper and upgrade that day anyway so it saves a lot of hassle. But, you wouldn't be able to use them again until late August without paying a $40 fee per person for a black out day ticket.

Yeah, we actually have tickets that we're hoping to upgrade to APs that day. We don't plan on going back until September anyway, so the blackout dates are okay with us.

Thanks everyone! :)

But.... you will be losing all that time on your AP when you can't use it. Why not wait until after the blockout period to get it? Just a suggestion. If you wanted to talk to a Disney CM, 714-781-4000. When the operator answers, tell him/her that you have questions regarding APs.

Because my daughter's birthday is in August, and that's what she asked for for her b'day since we haven't been in a few years.
