does any one have or know anyone that has type 2 diabetes????

because i know it is different from juvenile but i dot know exactly how different.
well my dad when he was 16 got juvnile diabetes and when i was five he had died of it. Now i am 14 and my mom was just diagnosed(SP?) with type 2 diabetes. can anyone tell me the difference because i am scared that she will die as well, but everyoe keeps saying like o shell be fine, but they also siad that when my dad was in the hospital.

please help!

I'm sorry about your dad and about your mom. I'm not sure what type 2 diabetes are, but I know with diabetes you have to knock off 10 to 15 years of your life. Once again I'm sorry.

It's sad though cause she writes these poems that make everyone in the class start to tear, cause I guess she is made fun of a lot. Her last name is Skipwith, so that starts a lot of it.
