This morning I called for a ps for the Princess Breakfast at Epcot. The CM on the phone argued with me about whether I could get there on time and wouldn't lock in the earliest time possible when I called. By the time I told her I had a car (which I don't) I had 8:40. She insisted that even at 8:40 using Disney transportation I would be late I know this isn't true.

Why do the CMs on the phone not know the real deal with the bus transportation? I was so frustrated and I still am. I'm calling for Cindy's tomorrow and I sure hope I don't get a CM like the one I had today!!

I had the same issue with booking for Donald's Breakfastasaurus last Augut!! We were at BWV and when I called for the PS, the CM told me that she wasn't comfortable booking me an earlier seating since I would never make it in time from BWV, with the bad bus transportation there!!! I wish they would let us make the seatings we want and if we don't make it, then it's our fault. They can advise us but leave the final decision up to us!!! BTW...we made our PS for 9:30, it wasn't early entry at AK that day and we were still at the entrance to the park at 8:15!!! Go figure.

I would have been really annoyed if a CM had wasted my time arguing with me over transportation on an early morning CRT call !!! I made CRT PS yesterday morning for 8:10 and had a wonderful CM who told me (after she had put the PS in, or course!) to be sure and check with the hotel (Swan) as to when the "breakfast shuttle" bus would be picking up there. I am completely depending on WDW to have an early bus that will get us to MK in time - I know that I can't drive to TTC and get over from there before the park opens at 9. Tyler - reassure us, please - TIA !!

If that would happen to me, getting incorrect information *and* in such an unpleasant fashion straight from *any* Disney representative, I would get that CM's name, write down when I called. I'd ask for Guest Services and/or a manager...
I don't actually have a big problem with the erroneous infomation - WDW management has a way of not getting needed info out to all the frontline CMs...the Dining/WDTC/CRO/front desk/etc CMs, plus the volume of info that they have to handle is incredible. What I *really* have a problem with is the blatant rudeness of how both CMs handled themselves. By their behavior(arguing in the one incident) they implied that the person spending the money, the paying customer, 'The Guest', was incredibly stupid. sheesh.
Both of the CMs could have handled it better...

PS - By the way, I understand that cabfare to get around WDW is actually quite reasonable...that could always be an option.

Maybe the CM's you spoke with have in the past seen lots of people arrive late for their morning PS's, getting into arguments, demanding to be seated anyway, and blaming the buses.

Disney does have early buses for guests with PS's. But, although I have no first hand Disney experience of it, I have relied on public buses on many a vacation trip and feel I am often a victim of what the transit industry refers to as a "missed trip".

Could be true, but I still say they can give us the time we want and 'advise' that the buses may be an issue. I have never had a problem getting to any early PS at any park using the bus system. I check at my resort to see when the buses start running. Like Tyler always says....ask those in the purple pants since most people don't have a good idea of the bus system. So, we arrive really early at the bus stop and ask our purple panted buddies!!!

If you take a cab to MK, it will drop you off at the TTC. You are better off taking the cab to CR (have him drop you off right at the CR entrance) and walking to the MK.

As a reassurance, YES, there will be early buses to take guests to thier early morning breakfasts.

The reason Dining keeps telling guests that buses don't run is that when booking, they have to insert special comments into the PS that says that they said certain things. ie: "This is a PS not a reservation" or "Entertainment is subject to change" or all sorts of other things. One of them is transportation, and the Dining notes file keeps saying there isn't transportation. I have no clue why the won't update it.

I said I would yes but I would take the boat from WL, he then started to explain the transportation thing to me when I stopped him so he could get me a time.... that one little conversation cost me time..... I got 8:35. My wife was on the phone at the same exact time for our friends and got 8:05 because she was not asked that question.

I am calling this Saturday for CRT.
I plan to interupt the CM and say, Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast, party of 4, earliest available time, I have my own transportation, thank you.

A little tip here as well. If you get a 8:30 PS, you can still hustle and get there at 8:05. You will be seated right away. A lady did this when I was checking in..... so still get there early and you may be able to get in early.

I had the EXACT same thing happen one day last week when I was making a PS for breakfast at the Crystal Palace. The CM almost refused to book the 8:05 time for me saying "there was no way I could get there at that hour from Pop Century". I told her to book my PS immediately and how I got to the restaurant was none of her business. I was absolutely livid by the time I got off the phone. I thought I was going to explode!!! What is with these people? We have had a PS for 8:05 at both the Crystal Palace and Donald's Breakfastosaurus every trip and Disney Transportation has always gotten us there with time to spare. Get this, the CM even told me that I was mistaken about there being Character Breakfast buses. She said there was "no such thing offered at Disney".

Now, that, Tyler, is something I would love to hear about!!! Call and make a PS at Donalds for say..oh, 7:45 and tell them you are coming from Boardwalk. I would love to hear that conversation!!!

Please do!! Call for Cindy's. I am so worked up now about calling tomorrow. I am going to use the suggestion and say "I have transportation."

I changed my day for Epcot due to this mix up. I'm still really upset with that CM. I wish I caught her name.

Be very clear that you want BREAKFAST! There is now a lunch character breakfast at CRT and someone posted on the CRT thread (think it was there) that the CM went into a long ordeal over the lunch and she got a very late breakfast time.

Thanks for the suggestion on going early. I moved my day. It worked out fine and we'll do what we did last year. I am still so annoyed though.

Luckily when my wife made all our ps's we never had that problem(this year, or last year). even the lady at front desk at pop told us that we can just go wait outside and a bus will bring us to where-ever our ressie is.. the magic kingdom bus took us right to the polynesian(we didnt have to get off at MK and take monorail or anything).

I was able to get CRT today. Thank goodness. I added the bit about having my own car and she never said a peep about the transportation.
