We are taking our daughter for the first time to Disney in a few weeks. She is under three so she is still free. We recieved all the info from our travel agent and noticed that her name was not on anything. Does she not even need a special ticket to get into Disney? I wasn't sure if they had special tickets for kids under three, or if they just let them just walk in with the parents.
Also, has anyone taken a two year old to a character breakfast? Which one would you recommend?
Thanks!

Hi KTSMOM-
We are going in October with our 2 DDs- 6 months and 2. This is our 2 year old's 3rd trip and we have never had to have a ticket or anything with her name on it for her to get into the parks; however, they have always given us a "key" card for her when we checked in, but we never needed it for anything. They just let you walk in with your child. If your daughter looks close to 3, they'll ask for her age, but its not a big hassle- no proof required.

I don't have a lot of advice on the character meals. DD was 16 months on our last trip and honestly enjoyed them all. This time, we have planned Liberty Tree Tavern, Princess Storybook, Cinderella's, Chef Mickey's, and Crystal Palace. She is really into the princesses right now (I bought her a couple of books and she bought right in- HA HA), so we have 2 princess breakfasts. She also ikes Pooh & Co. so we booked CP. The others just seemed like they'd be fun. HTH.

Good Luck

When my DD was two we did not have a ticket for her. We didn't even get a "Key" card like riggins mentioned. All I did was stroll her right thru the main entrance...no questions asked.

As far as character breakfasts go...I have not done them all but I can tell you that when my DD was 2 she LOVED Chef Mickey's!

Have a great time!

I got all of my information the other day. Neither of my kids were listed, DD1 and DS2, so I called. The CM looked at the confirmationand said their names were on the hotel, just not on the resservation papers. I said as long as they know that my kids will be in the room and they have my sons b-day marked on the confirmation..we were all set. So, that made me nervous too, but I called and that's what they said.

As far as character meals, I have never taken kids, but we planned Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace and the Garden Grill ice cream social. I don't think I have to pay for him with CM and CP, but I might have to buy him ice cream at GG. That's okay, that is the least expensive one!

HTH!!

My one year old didn't get listed on the confirmation papers or get a card, etc. I did mention to them at check-in that he existed and they seemed to know as I did put it on the original ressie. My 5 yr old got a key card which was a room and park key but didn't work for charging. You will not have any problems not having a card for your 2 yr old. We took DS #1 to WDW when he was 2.5 yrs old and didn't have a card or anything for him either. They just let them in with you no questions asked!

Hi - We have taken our 3 kids a few times and under three never required anything.

As far as character meals go, mine love Crystal Palace for lunch and Chef Mickey's for dinner. They are great with a little munchkin because both of them are pretty noisy and the kids don't have to sit still the whole time. They can get up and meet the characters....pick out their own food at the buffet, and make their own ice cream sundaes at the dessert bar. We have done the lunches because my kids are up early and ready to go. But by lunchtime (11:30) they are ready to get out of the heat for a while and relax. This kind of revs everyone up again for the afternoon.

Have fun!!!!

My daghter is 21/2 she has been to The World four times and we have never needed any type of ticket or passes for her. She has done character meals at Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare, and Chef Mickey's. On our most recent trip ( July) she LOVED Chef Mickey's! She could not contain her excitement and would stand next to her chair jumping up and down until it was her turn for the characters to come to our table. She gave them all hugs and eskimo kisses. It is my deepest regret that I did not have our video camera at this meal. I am not a huge fan of the buffet food at Chef Mickey's . It's just ok. Your typical buffet. But I think it is the best and most fun place for character interactions. The characters all circled back to our table 3 times during our meal. At other character meals we usually see everyone once and maybe one or two characters twice. If I could only do one character meal for our next trip it would definitely be this one!

Who is your daughter's favorite character? That might help you decide which character breakfast to do.

I also suggest this. All the character meals are great, it really just depends on who they want to see. Or if she is like my DD she wants to meet ALL of the characters!! :) DD just turned three and has made three trips to the World and eaten with a variety of characters from Pooh to Mickey to the Princesses and loved them all. Enjoy, they're so precious at that age hugging a character! :)

Thanks for all the info. We decided to go with Chef Mickey's as she is excited about meeting Mickey Mouse! I can hardly wait to take her!
