Two Weeks until Two Weeks! - Update 3/22 - NEW TR LINK!

We always go during the F&GF. It is really beautiful. So many topiaries & things to look at. I just read that the Butterfly Garden will be double the size of last years. You will have a great time!

Nice new Keens.:thumbsup2

I hope you get to do everything on your list. Everything sounds great.

I went to McDonalds on Monday just to see if they had the Shamrock Shakes yet but NO!!!:sad2: I am probably going to check again tomorrow on my lunch hour.

If I don't get back here before you leave I hope you have a wonderful 2 WEEKS at our favorite place & cannot wait to hear about it all!! I still have 3 long months to wait. (Well less than 3 now as we leave on May 22nd). Have a great time Brook. As I mentioned in MeMom's TR I will be thinking of you all when you are having your IASW Dismeet!! SOOOO Jealous.

Even though we will be there on the 3rd, I'm still a little bit jealous that you leave in 2 days. And really jealous that you get 2 weeks there. But really looking forward to the late night dance party dis meet. I loved the FGF last time we were there. Here are a few pictures. My fav.

My DH's fav...he loves Stitch.

And my DS's fav..Silvermist is his favorite fairy.

And then a picture that is not good. Of course this was from mid March 2 years ago, but FGF had just started. Didn't think about the fact that they moved it so much. I am correct there aren't I. But anyway, this is a picture of the line for SE. Now it is was a little before 11am. We had a late start because we did a DVC tour that day. But this line is still kinda scary. I can't remember how long the wait said, but I had never seen a line for SE that long. Hopefully none of us see crowds like this.

As far as the shakes, don't forget to check out the McD over by All Stars. And then there is a McD not too far from DTD, since there isn't one at DTD anymore. But if you just follow that road in front of DTD away from Disney and it ends in a shopping center with a McD. I think that's right.

I love your Keens!
My nephews always get a couple of pairs each summer. I think I may have to try them for me.

The Community Hall at BLT is on the first floor. When you enter BLT from the parking lot, go down the hallway on your right. It's down a little bit and will be on your left. It's on the CR resort side of the building.

Keens are GREAT shoes. My feet last forever in them! They have quite a few different styles - I got mine from Amazon, but they are available lots of places. I want to get H some too, but haven't forked over that much for kids shoes yet!

Ahhhh! Thank you for telling me where the Community Hall is! :thumbsup2 The ordeal finding the BW one was absurd last trip. :rotfl:

:yay::yay:2 DAYS!!!!:yay::yay:

Okay, more excitement is in order!
:jumping1::jumping1::jumping1:

Your resort lists look completely doable. I would absolutely want to go back to Welcome Home Wednesday, too. Considering the super fantastic prize you won last time!! I never got to comment on your TR about the picture session with Henry. The pictures turned out absolutely wonderful!! I'm glad the photographer listened to you, it made the pictures awesome!

Well, I cannot really tell you what exactly I would do around the resorts because we really don't do much around there........:rolleyes1 I swear it's all DH's fault due to his commando style touring. I know that in April we'll probably be doing the same thing, but in October, we're staying at AKV, and I really want to do some resort touring. Also, we'll have an 18 month old with us, 18 month old + Commando Touring=:sad2: I'll have to get some extra tips from you since you've stayed at Kidani before and you've gone with a toddler.

Hooray for the
SHAMROCK SHAKE!! I've never had the opportunity to get one, but I'm sure they are fantastic! I also read that Henry did a non-stroller trek to the mall! Way to go H!:goodvibes

So how are you going to sneak in the Sea Raycers? Just say one morning, "Hey Joe, I've got a surprise for ya!" How awesome is that going to be!!!

The closeness is palpable, can you feel it???:goodvibes

It would be crazy if I won again at WHW! :laughing: They have quite a few great prizes - this time I'll take the Sammy Duvall gift certificate for the discount on Joe's outing on the sea raycers. ;)

There are lots of great things at Kidani! The play park area + kiddy splash area is a lot of fun too. They have tons of activities for the kids. I hope you are able to do some and your DH lays off the commando!

I haven't really thought about how I'm going to surprise him with the Sea Raycer...but I do like your idea! :laughing: I think that just might work....

I SO can feel it. In awesome giddiness and stressful "holy cow, I have a million things to do!" :rotfl:

:cool1: for 2 days!

Hey, leave some of the prizes for the other people this time. ;)

I'll leave a couple for some others, but I'm taking at least one with me! :laughing:

I was thinking you better not waste all that nice weather the first week... you should save some of those warm temps for week two! :lmao::lmao:

LOL! Yes, I do hope the 80s extend into the second week! Too many important people arriving that second week. :goodvibes

He he.

I forgot how much the gnome was.... I want to say $30?? :confused3 WOW. I already forgot. Mel loves him. Every time someone comes over the house Mickey gnome gets to welcome them! :goodvibes

$30 isn't bad at all! Mickey the Gnome might be visiting Astoria very soon as well!

I envy you getting to see the Flower & Garden Festival. It used to go all the way through the end of May and we were able to see it. Over the last few years, they've cut the days back drastically and we miss out on it.

I think you're resort "to do" lists are very doable, especially since you're going to be there for 2 weeks. We like renting the surrey bikes and taking them for a spin around the resort. We also like to rent the sea raycers but they don't go very fast at the CBR so we're thinking about maybe renting at another resort.

We have never been to the campfire but I bet Henry will love it! It sounds like fun for the little ones.

Oh, that stinks about them cutting the F&GF back! I wonder why? :confused3

Do the Sea Raycers actually go faster at other resorts? Just because the area to use them is larger maybe?

I really hope we get to do most of our resort list, quite a few of the things are quick/basic-like the arcade. It's a given with our little man! :laughing:

The campfire sounds super fun! I'd love to stay at Ft. Wilderness someday.

I also want to rent a surrey bike from the Boardwalk & watch some entertainment. I'm thinking our first night there we can make it happen. Just a note-bring a license to rent the bike; my roommate and her brother rented one in January and she was asked for ID, so she had to go back to her room to get it. She also said they caught a bit of air time when they put on the brakes before a dip, I think near the Swolfin.

I'm really excited for the sand in Stormalong Bay too! And the lazy river! And the pirate ship slide! Really, what's not to be excited about?

I saw the picture of the Shamrock shake and laughed. My mom and grandma are coming to visit tomorrow and I think a trip to McDonald's may be requested. :rolleyes1 But of course, our McDonald's here in cow town isn't all that great and they might not have them. :headache:

We looked into staying at the Fort Wilderness cabins for our honeymoon - we almost booked it! It would have been really fun...but I am really glad we chose AKL instead, it was about the same price too!

Interesting about needing ID for the surrey bike! I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the tip! And air time??? :scared1: Wow! Joe will love that, LOL, but me....not so much! I'll scream if that happens to us - which will makes Joe's day. :rolleyes:

I'm soooooooo looking forward to that lazy river! And playing in the sand! We will probably spend at least a whole afternoon there.

I hope you have the Shamrock Shakes!!! I was THRILLED to find them, since NYC has, until last year, been a "dry" town for them!

I'm so looking forward to seeing Epcot even more beautiful than it already is! I can just imagine the scent from all those flowers. :cloud9:

Oh man!!! No Shamrock Shakes?!?! Does your McD's usually get them??? I hope they arrive SOON.

Thank you for your well wishes! I cannot believe it's actually almost here!!!!!!

Loooooove those F&GF pictures!!! Ahhhhhhh, they make me giddy! I cannot wait!!!!

That SSE line though, :scared1:! That is like NYE! Yuck! Though, many of the days are 8's and 9's as per TouringPlans, so I don't doubt that it will be crowded many of those days. Hopefully not THAT bad though!

I didn't realize there were two McDonald's so close! I only know of the one near All Stars, so good to know, thanks for the tip!

Chef Mickey does have breakfast pizza.. its not the best of Disney but its good and its eggs and cheese which in my world is awesome!!! Ahh you go soooo soon!!!!!!!!!! This is tres exciting!

Two Weeks from Today...March 10.
As many of you know from Facebook, yesterday I happened to be at a McDonalds and got my beloved Shamrock Shake. :love: I will probably still hunt one out during our trip while we have a rental car though! :laughing:

TWO DAYS!!!! :yay::yay:

OMG i love Shamrock shakes! Oh I added you to facebook request is pending! :) Now Im running to McDonalds haha seriously gotta go that way anyways I think Shamrock shakes are sounding beyond awesome.

Brook, I can't believe you are at 2 days. Where the heck did those 2 weeks go to????

All of your plans sound great. And be sure to save some of that 80 degree temperatures for "my very special friends" who will be arriving that second week. ;)

Hi Brook, I am not sure wether I might not miss you before you leave, but I wanted to wish you a wonderful and magical trip!!

Loved your resort to dos! I think the Contemporary has a beach as well (next to the hotel pool)?

Community Hall is SO easy at BLT!! You can even access it when you are out by the pool. There is an entrance from the pool side:) I took Kayla, Olivia and Alexa in there for fun crafts while Tony and Jonah hung out by the pool. Very convienent and you WILL find it NO PROBLEM!

The pool there is also great. Alexa loved going down the small slide on the side of the pool. I dont know if you are aware, but there is a little slide as well as the big tall one. She loved the pop jet area too! I cant wait for you to be at BLT!!! We just LOVED it so much:thumbsup2

Not sure if I'll get on tomorrow, so wanted to tell you to have a magical trip!

Looking forward to the next TR (I don't FB or tweet).

Oh I love F&G festival. I can't wait to see your pictures from it. Toy Story topiaries sounds cool.

We'll be there next April for F&G. :)

Ya, I'm thinking H will get a bit antsy if we do too many of the workshop type things - maybe we can get away with the hands-on thing since he loves to "help" us still. (though, he does NOT like us helping him! :laughing:) And I will try to hit the exhibits near the play areas so we can "baby swap" if necessary.

I saw some pictures online last night of a few of the toipaires as they are already bringing them out. No new ones yet, but what is there is so exciting - I'm going to SEE them! :woohoo:

Looooooove it! I truly love thrill rides! The only roller coaster I haven't ever liked in my life was Kingda Ka from Six Flags NJ.

:sad2::sad2::sad2:

Oooh, it will be fun to compare the pictures from the start of the festival to April when it's right in the middle! I'll try to report back with good details for ya!

I hope I am able to say both were amazing since most every review I have read says they are! :laughing: I'll be sure to take good notes!

Thanks! I really like the style, it's very different than anything I already own too.

i have never been to a six flags. i have seen that ride on tv before though. i don't know if i could even ride it:scared1::confused::laughing:

almost one day :cool1::cool1::cool1::rotfl::rotfl::banana::banana:
