Congrats on your first trip home. We are headed for out first trip home 11/7 - 11/15. We have been waiting, reading(disboards mainly), planning, anticipating for a year. We were in DisneyWorld last Nov and bought at SSR and have been excited ever since. We only have 4 days left and were on our way!!

You will love SSR. I hope you have a wonderful stay. We arrive on the 20th for a week. We too are at SSR. You will love DVC................Congrats.

We're anxiously awaiting to hear our first "Welcome Home" at SSR, too. We purchased in late March after a week's visit and will be back at our favorite place on earth 12/7/08-12/13/08. Our "family" consists or three adults (Me, DH and DSIL) who are definite Disneyphiles! Needless to say, we started planning our first trip as DVC members even before the ink was dry on the papers.

This year we're going to see all the Christmas decorations as well as attend the MVMCP. We've already been planning next year's visit for the MNSSHP and DH's birthday!

We will be leaving the day you check in, on the 15th. I wish we could stay longer! We have a long drive back to Michigan!

It is a great feeling the first trip as an owner when you check in and they say "welcome home", it feels so good and the whole thing will feel different to you than on any other trip.

I remember my first trip as a DVC member. It was so exciting. I'm actually going to be at SSR Nov 16th - the 22nd. Make sure you ask for a water view. You'll be amazed at how quite and peaceful SSR is. It almost hard to believe your at a Disney resort!

Thanks for the tip. Would it be good to call ahead for the request and if so to MS or to SSR directly and how far ahead? I was planning to ask for Grandstand - based on what I have read so that we are on the first bus stop. We don't mind walking around the resort at all, but we are early birds and would love to be sure that we get out and to the parks at rope drop!

We are arriving on the 13th and will be at BCV. Hope your first trip is magical.

That was the resort that my hubby wanted to go to, but with the developer points we did not have a choice. Not that I am complaining at all. I am happy to be going to SSR and hope to visit all of the DVC resorts over the years!

Congrats to you too!!!! I hope that you have a great time. We haven't been to WDW since Feb. 2007, but we only bought in May 2008. Still it seems like a long time waiting! We are very excited too!
