Two trips one month apart...can we do one memory maker?

I haven't used memory maker before. We are going to WDW Nov 15-19 and my best friend is going with her family Dec 17-23. Can we share memory maker? If so, how should it be set up?

The pictures stay on Disney servers for 45 days and you have 30 days from the first download to complete the downloads so just keep those dates in mind. Only the MM owner can download but you can use CDs or a picture sharing site like Instagram to share the pictures. The owner needs to make sure everybody else is on his My Family and Friends list in order to add photos. I'm not sure if anybody under one of these accounts (such as kids under 13) can add photos on their own or not. Anybody with their own MDE account will have to have permission to add photos. You can verify this by clicking edit next to their name on your My Family and Friends list. People also need to be friends with each other in MDE in order to be able to view each others pictures online, otherwise they will only be able to view yours and theirs.

Also, I would claim ride photos instead of relying on the automatic system. It doesn't always work.

Yes, you can share.

Purchase it no later than 11/11.
Do not download any photos from your trip until Dec 1.
You will be able to download all your photos after that point and will be able to download your friends photos after their trip, but before Jan 1.

Ok so if I let her be the MM owner, I will still be able to use it before her as long as we are linked together as family and friends, right? I want to let her be the owner because, from what I understand, the owner is the one that gets to add all the effects and stickers. She has small children who would probably enjoy doing that. I do not. Then, after her trip, she can download all the pics and give me mine, right?

On the share, if you link her as a friend on MyDIsneyExperience , then they will have full access to the entire process... they can add photos, and download photos, etc. It is very easy and seamless. Add each of their family members to your account as friends (you can limit their access to your plans, so they can't change your FP's) that way anyone who scans their magic bands with a photographer or gets an onride photo/video will have them linked and all in the same memory maker.

I have done this many times, and it works great. Its an awesome way to reduce costs. There is only 1 catch... the "FREE" memory maker entitlement from the new annual passes cannot be shared with people not on your reservation, however, I doubt that directly effects you.
