I think I am biting off more than I can chew. This is my second attempt at my first PTR. The first attempt failed miserably :sad2: No one read it...I stopped updating...it was tragic.

But with two trips to plan in the next few months, I need help. Help that only qualified DIS experts can provide. So are you with me? (Please say yes...)

And away we go!

So we have two trips coming up...

Trip 1 - Sept 2009 - WDW - Bay Lake Tower

This trip is a 60th birthday trip for my mom. She didn't want a big party for her 60th birthday so we decided to take a trip to Disney instead! My sister and I have a lot of surprises in store for her. You'll have to stay tuned to find out what they are!

Trip 2 - Dec 2009 - WDW - Vero Beach and Saratoga Springs

Since we were going in Sept, a Dec trip was the last thing I imagined. But lucky for me I have a farewatcher alert from Kayak that gives me MSP to MCO ticket updates daily. One afternoon I got an alert for a $139 fare. $139! So what did I do, I booked it. I haven't planned much for this trip yet and know nothing about December crowds/MVMCP (this is where you DIS experts come in to play!)

Next up:

September - the whos

You know that our September trip is a 60th birthday trip for my mom, but what do we have planned? Who's going? Will my mom like all her surprises?

Let's start with the who...

Me - an accountant by trade, but I consider my real job to be an obsessive Disney planner (aren't we all? :rotfl:). I convinced my husband to buy DVC in 2006 which has only fueled the Disney obsession. I will be turning 28 on our trip but my birthday is being overshadowed by...

DH - turning 30 on this trip. He is a computer geek (but I love him anyway). He had only been to Disney twice before we got married in 2005 and has been 3 times since then (including a Disneymoon in Disneyland). His 30th birthday is being overshadowed by...

Mom - turning 60 on this trip (or actually two days before the trip). My mom is having a hard time turning 60 because my Dad passed away at 59 almost four years ago. She didn't want a big 60th birthday party so we decided to take her to Disney instead!

And finally, Sis. She already had her birthday in August. She's 25 and can sometimes act 13. But she's my best friend and I love her anyway. She loves anything Sleeping Beauty or Tigger and is most excited to see Richard Marx at the Eat to the Beat concert.

Here we are at Disney in 2008 (L to R, Mom, Sis, the Mouse, Me, DH)

So that's the who. Now the where...

Before I get into the where, I wanted to post an exciting update!

When I first heard about the Wishes Dessert Party, I was so excited. I thought it would be a great thing to do for my mom's birthday trip. Then I found out that it was a trial event and it wasn't going to be going on during our September trip (boo! hiss!)

But much to my delight, they announced today they are extending it until November 1!

As soon as I found out, I called Disney Dining. And guess what? We're IN! My mom is going to love it!
