Two Thumbs Up for Nova!

I read about this place on another forum and just wanted to pass the info on here. This is from my trip report.

"My husband and I cabbed over to The Dolphin around 9:15 a.m. for a 10:00 car pick up at Alamo. After a short wait in line, I found out that I had forgotten to bring my plane ticket. Because I was using a debit card, there's no rental unless you have a round trip ticket. I knew this as it was on the agreement but I forgot. So it was back to the Music, grab the ticket and back to the Dolphin by cab. We had rented through a broker, for lack of a better word, called Nova. Nova is sort of like Priceline, only it’s car rentals only. By doing so I saved nearly $100! We had a 4-door compact with ALL insurance and an extra driver. Alamo’s best price even with a special they were running and only offering basic insurance was just over $300 for 7 days. Nova’s price was $220. What a deal!! I highly recommend this company.

After reading about this place, I called Alamo just to make sure it was the real deal. They confirmed that they do business with Nova all the time.

Nova is located in Ireland which made me a bit edgy but the whole thing went off without a hitch. Our car was ready and waiting for us when we arrived to pick it up. At the end of our trip, I simply left it with the bell people. It couldn't have been easier.

I highly recommend this company and their savings can't be beat!

I went through Novacar last year. They saved me a bunch of money on my last minute holiday rental. And the best part...insurance was included! I know, I had insurance through my own car insurance company but the included insurance made me feel 'extra protected'.

No problems picking up the car but the Alamo agent did ask if I lived in the US and how I had heard about Novacar. I told her through the internet...actually through Mousesavers. In the past I've recommended Novacar to other disers. They have great rates for Holiday travel as their rates don't fluctuate like the other car companies...they stay pretty much the same all year, holiday or not.
