two studios or one two-bedroom villa?

You may have seen my last post, which was where my family could stay, but we decided on either getting 2 studio villas or a two-bedroom villa at BC.

We are a family of 6 and the price of getting the two studios is less than a two-bedroom villa.
Right now, we are planning to stay for 6 nights/7 days, would it make a drastic difference staying another night?
Which choice would be more ideal for my family?

Thanks!

Save at one resort, two studios will never connect and may be in different areas of a resort. A 2BR gets you a kitchen, WD and guarantees you will be staying together.

thanks for responding! Yes, we know that they will not be in the same area, which is something our family is not bothered by. Should we just purchase the two bedroom despite it costing more?

I think the 2BR is basically nicer with a larger group, since you can use the LR when it's not sleep time to hang out, and get the kitchen. It really depends on the budgets.

A two bedroom stay with DVC friends made me want to buy it. I doubt a studio stay would have done that. Having the living room, the kitchen, the large master bath, washer/dryer sold it.

It depends on what you want. I can't bring myself to do a studio because I do so much laundry on vacation it bothers me when I can't (I just can't stand having a pile of dirty clothes even put away in the case). We would also miss the kitchen as we find breakfast in the room much quicker and more enjoyable than going out. Also my husband and i have very different biological clocks. He is a night owl I'm a morning bird having the lounge means we can give each other peace to sleep.

The answer depends on how you live and on how you would use the rooms.

If the price difference isn't enormous, I'd go with the 2br for the laundry alone, plus the kitchen for snacks might save a little money! If the difference IS enormous, then I would deal with the studios.

We justified the additional cost of the 2 br villa by eating breakfast in the villa every morning. We really enjoyed having the extra space and the washer and dryer came in handy when we ended up getting drenched one cold and rainy afternoon.

I would do the two bedroom if it's in the budget. The extra space is worth it in my opinion.

Two bedroom for space, kitchen and laundry. We save money with in room breakfast, snacks and drinks.

Depending on the ages of your family, at least one person must be 18 years old in each studio. You are 15 and if you are the oldest, you'll definitely need a two bedroom villa. For a late August stay, you might only be able to get OKW, SSR and AKV. BCV is currently under renovation, so some of the units are closed while they are renovating. It's a small resort and highly sought after, so the odds of getting a two bedroom there isn't that good,
