Two separate reservations, same resort question

I have searched, but can't seem to find anything about this, so forgive me if it has been answered somewhere.

I had a gift card from hotels.com so I booked another night at the same resort (POR) and same category at the end of our trip in a few weeks. What are the chances we will be able to stay in the same room we had been in?

Let them know when you check in that you have two reservations, as well as when you check out of the first reservation. Sometimes they can keep you in the same room, but sometimes they move you. I believe that they will try to keep you there if at all possible.

Thank you. That is what we were thinking. I am so excited to stay there. I've stayed at FQ and loved it, so I can't wait to see how I like Riverside.
