I couldn't get an ADR for BOG lunch (party of 2) on either day I tried for. This was at 180 and 180+1 due to a split stay. I was able to get two ADRs for a party of 1. They are ten minutes apart. It'll be myself and DD12. I couldn't make DD12 the guest on one of the reservations since she's not 18 so I picked my son. The other reservation is in my name. When we check in will this be a problem? Do I just use my son's name when I check in? Will they let us go in together? I don't want to leave her behind if they call me in first and vice versa.

I would first call to see if they can combine the two reservations.

If they can't, I really don't think you'll have a problem with them being only 10 minutes apart if you explain at the podium when you both check in. If nothing else, you may have to let her check in first, then wait for you on the bridge where you can still see her.

I didn't know calling and having them combined was an option. I will definitely try that first.

Not saying it will work, but explain the situation to them, and they may combine them. Your situation is different from someone attempting to add someone to an existing reservation, or someone attempting to combine reservations that are 30-45 minutes apart.

They told me they aren't able to combine them. Another DIS member has an ADR for two that she is going to cancel. I hope I can grab it when she cancels. If not I will continue to keep checking or just show up with the separate reservations. With only 3 ADRs to make our entire 9 night trip I thought I could avoid this stress! But it's my DD's must do along with HDDR.

Even if they can't combine them, I think you'll be fine checking in together. And you won't have any issue with the reservation being in a different name, just give them your son's name at check in.

ETA: Just saw your update. I wouldn't stress. 10 minutes apart shouldn't be a problem at all. Just keep what you've got and enjoy!

Two years ago, I wasn't able to get a lunch reservation for our party of 5. I had 3 separate reservations that were within 5 to 10 minutes of one another. I checked in and told them that I had to make 3 separate reservations that were within 10 minutes apart. The CM simply checked us all in and waived us through. Enjoy your lunch!

Also, just keep checking for reservations to open up. My last trip was planned well after the 180 day mark and I was able to get several reservations for both breakfast and lunch at BOG for 2-7 people. One of those reservations was booked the day before.

you'll be perfectly fine, no reason to stress or bother spending time to try and find a new reservation. I've done this a few times and even had 25 minutes apart. It was no issue at all, we mentioned both our reservations when we checked in. We also put both meals on one person so it could be paid together and pre-ordered. Our plan was if they didn't let the second person in until closer to the reservation time the other person would just wait on the bridge before going in. You also seat yourself so it's not an issue if you want to pay separate and had to enter separately. The first person would just get a table and the second person would join after. With only 10 minutes apart I think you'll definitely be allowed in together. Enjoy!
