Two rooms, two addresses... who gets a PIN?

I have two rooms booked for my fam and DH's parents for our trip next summer and while both are booked under my discount, they did ask for DH's folks' address and info (which I totally understand and had no problem giving).

MIL called yesterday all excited because she got some Mickey mail and it had info about the resort. She mentioned "I'm so glad I opened this one -- I got something a few weeks ago and assumed it was just junk mail!" which made me think -- is there a possibility they might mail HER a PIN code even though I have the rooms booked? I'm just wondering because while we secured one of the best rates we could, not all resorts were available, so I just am keeping an eye out for a PIN in case we can get a different resort or a dining discount or anything.

Also, if she might get a code, is there something specific to tell her to look for? This is her first Disney trip and I've only ever gotten a PIN through email. Thanks!!!

Hi! The snail mail PIN I got last year was a large, trifold type thing. It took me a few looks to find the PIN actually. And I am pretty savy about these things. I could see someone missing it easily. When I finally found it, it was on the outside, I think, near my address. The 12 or 13 numbers were actually highlighted in yellow. You or your MIL should just call Disney & ask if she has a PIN. If she has one, you'd just have to figure out which discount is better for your family. And that would be a great problem to have!

Have her send you a copy of any mailing she gets from Disney. Truly those mailings can be a bit confusing.

They send pins to random people... my sister and I have been going to Disney. Last spring our parents got a pin. At their new address. They have not contacted Disney or directly given Disney any of their information for decades. They moved to this new house a couple years ago... there were a list of reasons it made no sense for them to be getting offers from Disney, yet those of us sitting around waiting for pins never got them.
I would keep an eye out at both of your houses.
